Ecology and distribution

Biology : Epiphytic herb forming dense masses; stems pendent, to 50 cm long, often branched; leaves well-spaced, subulate-terete, curved, 3-13x0,1-0,3 cm, sharply pointed, needle-shaped but grooved above; inflorescences very short, at leaf bases, 1(-2)-flowered; flowers white; pedicel and ovary 3-4 mm long; tepals oblong to elliptic, 4-6x0,5-2,5 mm; lip suborbicular, apiculate, boat-shaped, 2-3x2-3 mm; spur 5 mm long, subcylindric.
Ecology : Dense forest; primary forest; evergreen forest; periodically inundated swampy gallery forest with Raphia, Pandanus, Marantaceae; on high branches of trees in shade, on Gilbertiodendron dewevrei; on live fences; 50-700 m alt.
  When not in flower confusion with Nephrangis filiformis or Tridactyle tridentata possible.
