Biology : Terrestrial slender herb 6-27 cm tall; tubers cylindrical, 1-5 cm long; stem ± flexuous, leafy; leaves 4-14, laxly arranged, lanceolate-linear, 1,5-6x0,1-0,8 cm; inflorescence to 9 cm long, laxly 3-15-flowered; bracts lanceolate, 1,3-1,5 cm long; flowers white, mauve or purple with darker marks on lip; pedicel and ovary 5-10 mm long; sepals narrowly ovate, 4-7,5x1,6-2,8 mm; petals obliquely ovate, 3-6,5x2-3 mm; lip 3-7,5 mm long, 4-7,5 mm wide, ± 3-lobed in lower part, mid-lobe orbicular, side lobes narrow, spreading, small (their development variable); spur 2,5-4,5 mm long, slender, curved, blunt.
Ecology : Pastures, damp meadows, marshes in forest or Brachystegia woodland; open areas in woodland; seepage areas on granite outcrops; moist areas among rocks; on shallow soil; 1200-2100 m alt.
