Biology : Epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs c. 0,3 cm apart, 2-leaved, ± orbicular, 0,6-0,8x0,5-0,8 cm, obtusely 4-angled; leaves elliptic to broadly oblong, 0,6-0,9x0,3-0,5 cm, very thick; inflorescence 1,2-1,6 cm long, 6-8-flowered; peduncle c. 1 cm long, with some dark hairs; rachis swollen, spindle-shaped, c. 0,5 cm long; bracts ± elliptic, 3x2 mm; flowers distichous, spreading, purple, not fully open; sepals not recurved, triangular, 3,4x1-1,8 mm; petals not recurved, ± ovate, c. 2,3x0,25 mm; lip recurved, elliptic, 1,2-0,8 mm.
Ecology : On lichen and moss-covered branches of small shrubs, with B. bidenticulatum, on the flanks of Picket Hill (basic intrusive rock of norite and gabbro); c. 700 m alt.
  Similar to B. resupinatum but smaller.
