Biology : Lithophytic, or epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs 1-2,5 cm apart, 2-leaved, ovoid, 1-2,7x0,7-1,5 cm, 4-angled; leaves oblong-elliptic, 3-7x0,5-1,2 cm; inflorescence 8-23 cm long, 7-30-flowered; peduncle erect, 4-9 cm long; rachis erect, swollen, zigzag, 3,5-14 cm long, 4-angled, edges sharp; bracts conspicuous, ovate, 7-12x4-6,5 mm; flowers distichous, borne in the concave sides of rachis, facing upward, fully open, sepals pale green or yellow, petals purplish, lip bright yellow or orange, all parts suffused with purple; sepals reflexed at base, 4,5-9x2,5-4,5 mm; petals rhomboid, not recurved, 2-4x1,5-3 mm; lip recurved, fleshy, ± rectangular, 4x3 mm.
Ecology : Forest; edge of riverine forest; on large rocks; 800-2050 m alt. Threatened by extensive clearance of forest.
