Biology : Epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs 1,5-3,5 cm apart, 2-leaved, ellipsoid, 4-angled, 1,2-3,5x0,8-1,2 cm; leaves lanceolate, 3,2-10x0,7-1 cm; inflorescence 16-19 cm long, 16-23-flowered; peduncle erect, c. 9 cm long; rachis 6,5-9 cm long, flowers distichous, whitish or (bluish) pink, arising from 2 concave sides; bracts spreading, yellow, longer than flowers; sepals reflexed, elliptic, 5,6-6,8x2,3-5,4 mm; petals obovate, 1,7-2,1x1,4-1,8 mm; lip recurved, elliptic, c. 2x1-1,4 mm, yellow.
Ecology : Forest; (0-)800-2100 m alt.
  Also in Uganda (locality not recorded); "very rare in Kenya" (fide Onana 2013: 229). Doubtful in Angola (cf. Onana & Cheek, 2011: l.c.; Figueiredo & Smith, Pl. Angola: 189, 2008).
