Biology : Epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs close together, 1-leafed, ovoid, 3,5x2-3 cm, 6-angled; leaf lanceolate, long petiolate (23 mm), oblong-lanceolate, 12-19x3-4,5 cm; inflorescence dense, many-flowered; peduncle c. 10 cm long; bracts recurved, oblong, 7x3 mm; sepals pale yellow green, narrowly lanceolate, 10x2,5-4 mm; petals white, oblong-obovate, 5,5x2 mm; lip red with yellow base and white flecks, oblong-ovate, 4,8x2 mm.
Ecology : Forest; woodland; on e.g. Erythrophleum sp. in forest; 50-2200 m alt.
  Very near B. josephi.
