Biology : Epiphytic, rarely epilithic herb; pseudobulbs clustered, 1-leafed, pear-shaped, 1,5-4x1-2 cm, glossy yellow, 4-6-angled; leaf oblong-elliptic, 3-12x1-3 cm; inflorescence 12-35 cm long, erect, 25-60-flowered; peduncle 3-10 cm long; rachis 8-26 cm long; bracts recurved, ovate, 4-6,5x1-1,5 mm; flowers white to pink, not fully open; sepals lanceolate, 6-11x1,5-2 mm; petals ovate, 1,5-2,5x1-1,5 mm; lip ovate, 2-4x0,5-1 mm, fleshy, channelled, tip recurved.
Ecology : Hill forest; riverine forest; high-rainfall woodland; mixed woodland; forming clumps on trunks and lower branches of trees; often growing with B. josephi, B. gravidum, among lichens; rocks outside forest; 800-2100 m alt.
  Resembling B. josephi.
