Biology : Epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs clustered, 1-leafed, ovoid, 0,6-1x0,5 cm, 4-angled; leaf oblong-lanceolate, 2,5-3,5x0,6-1,3 cm; inflorescence c. 12 cm long, 11-14-flowered; peduncle wiry, 6-8 cm long; rachis 4,5-6 cm long; bracts triangular, 1,8-1,4 mm; flowers distichous, probably cleistogamous; sepals oblong, 4-5,3x2,5-3,5 mm; petals lanceolate, 3x0,8 mm; lip recurved, ovate, 2x1,4 mm.
Ecology : Abandoned coffee plantation; 1000 m alt. in Bioko/Fernando Poo (Fragm. Florist. Geobot. 43/1: 20, 1998; Stévart, 2003: 133), in old secondary forest; 600 m alt. in S. Tomé (Stévart & Cribb in Kew Bull. 59: 85, 2004; Figueiredo & al. in Bothalia 41: 63, 2011).
  Probably present in Equat. Guinea, Rio Muni: a sterile specimen exists (see Stévart, 2003: l.c., and Stévart & Cribb, 2004: l.c.).
