Biology : Epiphytic herb; rhizome pendulous, attached to the substrate at its base only; pseudobulbs 1,5-7 cm apart, 1-leafed, ovoid, slightly flattened, 5-8x c. 1 cm; leaf linear, 11-35x0,5-0,9 cm; inflorescence 10-20 cm long, 14-40-flowered; peduncle 3-7 cm long; rachis 8-13 cm long, glabrous or blackish hairy; bracts ovate, 3-6x1,5-2,5 mm; flowers distichous, yellowish with purple streaks, or purple; sepals oblong, 5-7x3 mm, thick; petals not recurved, triangular, 2,5-3,8x0,5-1 mm, glabrous; lip thick, recurved, oblong, c. 3x1,5 mm, keeled beneath.
Ecology : Dense forest; forest with Gilbertiodendron dewevrei; riverine forest; 350-680 m alt.
  Similar to B. falcatum, B. calyptratum, but pseudobulb 1-leaved.
  Not in Fl. Cameroun 35 (2001) or Fl. Gabon 36 (2004). A specimen cited from Gabon by Onana & Cheek, 2011: 389, is a cultivated plant.
