Biology : Epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs 3,5-11 cm apart, 2-leaved, narrowly cylindrical, 5-11x0,5-1,3 cm; leaves petiolate (0,5-3 cm), oblong-elliptic, 10-17x0,6-3 cm, thick; inflorescence 18-40 cm long, 28-72-flowered; peduncle 11-24 cm long, rachis 4,5-18 cm long; bracts recurved, ovate, 8-9,5x2,5-5 mm, acute; flowers distichous, spreading, greenish tinged with purple or entirely purple, not fully open, all turned to one side; sepals oblong-ovate, 5-7,5x1,2-2,5 mm; petals triangular, not recurved, 1,5-2x0,2-0,5 mm; lip recurved near base, linear, 3,8-5,5x0,4-0,9 mm, long-ciliate.
Ecology : Rain-forest; forest e.g. of bamboo; 1850-2400 m alt.
