Biology : Epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs clustered, 1-leafed, suborbicular, c. 0,5 cm Ø; leaf oblong, 1,2-1,5x0,7-0,9 cm; inflorescence 1-2-flowered; bracts lanceolate, spreading; flowers brown; sepals lanceolate, 6-7x3 mm; petals obliquely lanceolate, 4 mm long; lip 4 mm long, 4 mm wide at base, kidney-shaped at base, apex linear-ligulate, margins minutely denticulate.
Ecology : On branches of trees on the River Songa [Sanga] at N’Kundi (= Congo-Brazzaville). – Referring to the locality, see Schlechter, Westafrikanische Kautschuk-Expedition 1899/1900: 281, 1901, e.g. under B. congolanum.
  Type: Schlechter 12687. Vermeulen (l.c.) indicates that all type material is lost, and that the species has not been collected again.
