Biology : Epiphytic herb; stem to 5 cm long, pendent; leaves 3-5, leathery, dark green, oblanceolate, 7-15x1,5-4 cm, unequally 2-lobed; inflorescences pendent, 10-25 cm long, 3-6-flowered; flowers large, white; pedicel and ovary 3-6 cm long; tepals spreading, narrowly ovate, subulate, 3,5-5x0,4-0,7 cm; lip similar, 3,3-4x0,5 cm; spur straight or incurved, 20-25 cm long.
Ecology : Evergreen forest; Gilbertiodendron dewevrei forest; gallery forest; in undergrowth, in deep shade; inselbergs together with Chamaeangis vesicata, Polystachya affinis; also sunny places in half-shade; at c. 3 m above ground; 400-1100 m alt.
