Biology : Epiphytic herb with elongated stem to 20 cm long; roots numerous, greyish, 3-4 mm Ø; leaves 8-15, distichous, along the stem, falcate, linear-lanceolate, to 15x1-2,3 cm, black-dotted on both surfaces, apex unequally 2-lobed, the longer one 1 cm long, the short often absent; inflorescences borne opposite to a leaf, from the same node in successive years, 4-6-flowered; flowers small, white, sometimes suffused with pink or green; pedicel and ovary 3 cm long, greenish or brownish; tepals narrowly elliptic, 1-1,2x0,4-0,5 cm, reflexed; lip narrowly obovate, apiculate, 1,3-1,5x0,5 cm; spur deflexed or curving forwards, 4-5,5 cm long.
Ecology : Rain-forest in very shady sites; 1200-1600 m alt.
  When not in flower, similar to A. ugandensis. Flowers similar to those of A. collum-cygni but smaller; but larger than those of A. ugandensis occurring in the same area.
