Biology : Epiphytic herb to c. 40 cm tall, glabrous; stem woody, ± arcuate, 7-40 cm long, covered with black-brown old leaf-bases; leaves 6-10, distichous, linear, 7-15x1,2-2,5 cm, thick, leathery, olive green, wrinkled when dry, apex roundly 2-lobed; inflorescences below leaves, sometimes in axils, 4-7 cm long, 5-12-flowered; peduncle 1 cm long; flowers creamy white, tip of spur sometimes pinkish or greenish; bracts ovate, 3-8x4-7 mm; pedicel and ovary c. 1 cm long; sepals lanceolate, acute, c. 1x0,4 cm, tips recurved; petals similar, smaller; lip lanceolate-acuminate, 0,7-1x c. 0,4 cm, apex recurved; spur 2-3 cm long, straight or incurved.
Ecology : Evergreen forest; rain-forest; riverine forest; forest with Albizia gummifera; swamp forest; high-rainfall woodland; at high level on main horizontal branches of trees, on, e.g. Cassipourea gummiflua; live fences; 200-2600 m alt. – Widespread but local.
