Biology : Terrestrial herb 40-70 cm tall, glabrous; tubers ± cylindrical, 1-2,5x0,5-1 cm; stem erect, leafy; leaves 5-10, imbricate, linear-lanceolate, acute-acuminate, 8-16x1-2 cm, the middle ones largest; inflorescence 6-16 cm long, closely 3-10-flowered; bracts leafy, lanceolate, to 3-6 cm long; flowers greenish-yellow, c. 3 cm Ø; pedicel and ovary curved, 4-6 cm long; sepals unequal: dorsal ovate-acuminate, convex, 1,5-2x1-1,5 cm, laterals deflexed, slightly longer; petals erect, much curved, lanceolate-acute, 1,5-2x0,4 cm; lip 3-lobed to base, mid-lobe deflexed, linear-lanceolate, 1,6-2x0,2 mm, side lobes oblanceolate-linear, 2x0,3 cm, swept backwards, apex fimbriate; spur pendent, cylindrical, 10-15 cm long.
Ecology : (Wet) dambos; grassland; marshy areas; 1250-2000 m alt.
