Ecology and distribution

Biology : Epiphytic erect herb; stems 6-10 cm long with smooth roots; leaves linear, 2-4,5x0,3 cm; inflorescences 2-3 cm long, 4-9-flowered, peduncle 5 mm long; flowers yellow-orange, anther cap red; bracts triangular, c. 1 mm long; pedicel and ovary 4-7 mm long; sepals elliptic-ovate, c. 4x2 mm; petals oblong-elliptic, c. 3x1 mm; lip c. 3x2 mm, base auriculate, 3-lobed at apex; side lobes obscure; midlobe oblong, 3 mm long; spur clavate, pendent, 6-7 mm long.
Ecology : Mist forest, on small trees; 1650-2100 m alt.
  Known only from Tanzania, Uluguru and Nguru Mts.
