Biology : Epiphytic herb; stems long, hanging, woody, 8-27-40 cm long, leafy in upper part; leaves linear, falcate, 10-26x1-2 cm, leathery, apex unequally obtusely 2-lobed, twisted at base to lie in one plane; inflorescences pendent, numerous, laxly 10-20-flowered; flowers alternate, pale yellowish, white or pinkish, 12-16 mm Ø, with “a rich perfume” (Piers, l.c.); bracts 1-1,5 mm long; sepals lanceolate, acute, 5-9x2-3 mm; petals similar, 5,4-6,6x1,8-2,6 mm; lip entire or obscurely 3-lobed, shortly apiculate, ± circular, 5,3-6,3x6-8,3 mm, margins slightly crenulate, with a small tooth at mouth of spur; spur 5-9 mm long, narrowly fusiform, slightly incurved.
Ecology : Forest; near rivers and swamps; on trees at forest margins; rain-forest with Albizia, Macaranga, Croton, Ocotea; (300-)1300-2200 m alt.
  Formerly confused with D. divitiflora.
