Biology : Terrestrial herb 17-72 cm tall; tubers ellipsoid, 1,5x1 cm; leaves cauline, 6-12, spread, the lower ones distichous, linear-lanceolate, folded, 5-26x0,5-2 cm, the uppermost bract-like; inflorescence 6-18 cm long, 10-30-flowered; flowers green and white or pale yellow (petals), curved outwards, mosquito-like; bracts lanceolate, 15-20 mm long; pedicel erect, 15 mm long, ovary ± arched, 9 mm long; dorsal sepal reflexed, ovate, concave, 5x2 mm; laterals deflexed, obovate, c. 8x5 mm, apiculum lateral; petals 2-lobed from near base, ciliolate; upper lobe recurved, linear, 4-7 mm long; lower lobe spreading forwards, obovate, 4-9x2-3 mm; lip pendent, 3-lobed from near base, lobes linear; midlobe 8-13 mm long, side lobes 4-6 mm; spur 10-16 mm long, parallel to ovary, distal half swollen-clavate.
Ecology : Grassland, grassy flats; marshy places, swamps; rock crevices; wet pastures by streams, growing in shallow water; 0-2400 m alt.
