Biology : Slender herb 10-64 cm tall; tubers 1-8, elongate-oblong, tomentose, 16 cm long; cauline leaves 5-13, linear-lanceolate, acute, 10-40x1-3 cm, starting to wither at anthesis; inflorescence cylindrical, 4-20 cm long, lax to dense, 3-35-flowered; flowers green and white; dorsal sepal erect, ovate, 7-13x3-5 mm, very convex; lower petal lobes obovate, acute, patent, 9-15x3-8 mm; lip 16-20 mm long, 3-lobed, lobes linear, 7-14x1-4 mm; spur toothed, curved, 12-26 mm long.
Ecology : Scrub, amongst boulders at roadside, in shade of creeping Ipomoea etc., in moist heavy leaf mould; (60-)1200-1500 m alt.
