Biology : Description (abridged) from Schlechter in Warburg, Kunene-Sambesi Exped.: 216, 1903. Slender erect herb 35-60 cm tall; leaves narrow, not yet fully developed at anthesis; peduncle with few sheaths; spike a shortened corymb; bracts linear, ± as long as ovary; sepals oblong-acute, the laterals oblique, 13-14 mm long, white; petals similar to sepals but somewhat longer; lip 3-lobed from base; side lobes lacerate; mid-lobe oblong-obtuse, with dense long papillae and 3 short lamellae at base of lip.
Ecology : Swampy meadows on River Kubango (Angola); 1120 m alt.
  “Up to now unique in the genus”. – Dubious species. Known only from the type collected in 1899 (Baum 377).
