Heteromycotrophic (saprophytic) herb, leafless, without chlorophyll, 20-30 cm tall; with a subterranean rhizome, oblong, acute, roots absent; inflorescence peduncle with many loose closely set sheaths at base, upper sheaths spaced; raceme 5-40-flowered; flowers pale (colour unknown); bracts lanceolate, shorter than ovary; sepals and petals linear-oblong, c. 7x2 mm; lip 5 mm long, 3-lobed towards base; side lobes semi-orbicular; mid-lobe narrowly oblong, with a small obtuse callus towards base; spur cylindrical, 2 mm long, at right angles to lip. |
