Biology : Terrestrial, rarely epiphytic herb 40-150 cm tall; pseudobulbs conical, 4-10x2-3 cm; leaves to 6, basal, long-petiolate, narrowly elliptic, acute, 20-50x0,7-2,5 cm; inflorescence laxly 10-30-flowered, peduncle with 2-3 spaced sheaths, rachis 10-30 cm long; flowers green with brown streaks or flecks, lip yellowish white; bracts ovate-lanceolate, 5-15x2-3 mm; pedicel and ovary 10-13 mm long; sepals and petals ± elliptic, 6-7x5-7 mm; lip obovate, truncate, with a tooth-like callus near tip, apex with brownish ciliae; spur slender, 4-8 mm long, apex swollen.
Ecology : Rain-forest, dense forest, gallery and riverine forest; forest edges; plantations of Hevea and Coffea; epiphyte at foot of old trees or on (fallen) trunks; in heavy shade; 5-706 m alt.
