Biology : Terrestrial herb 20-60 cm tall; similar to C. dracomontanum, but flowers dark maroon or dark brown turning black; lateral lobes of lip appendage spreading; lip blade green, ovate and obtuse.
Ecology : Grassland by streams; 2750-2800 m alt.
  Not in Fl. Trop. E. Afr. – May also occur in Fl. Zambes area.
  S. Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland.

Biol./Eco : perennial-Herb, Geophyte- Ht 0.17 - 0.55 m. Alt: 610 - 3000 m. Distribution: LES, EC, FS, KN, LP, MP
