Biology : Terrestrial herb 10-35 cm tall; tuber ± globose, irregular; leaves 3, alternate on stem, erect, sessile, elliptic-lanceolate, 1-3x0,4-0,9 cm; inflorescence 1-4-flowered; flowers pale magenta or white; bracts ovate, 10-17x5 mm; pedicel and ovary 10 mm long; dorsal sepal ovate, 8x2,5-3 mm, forming a sac-like hood with the petals; lateral sepals ovate, 5-7x1,5-2 mm, each with a conical sac c. 1,5 mm long; petals oblong, 3-5x1,5-2 mm; lip with narrowly ovate-oblong claw c. 2 mm long, limb conduplicate, c. 2 mm long with appendage longer than limb, finger-like, pubescent.
Ecology : Damp grassland; c. 1800 m alt.
  Pollinated by oil-collecting bees.
