Biology : Epiphytic herb, dwarf; stems very slender, 6-10 cm long, in tufts; leaves linear, 1,2-4x0,1-0,25 cm; inflorescences opposite to leaves, c. 0,3 cm long, 1-2-flowered; flowers white, translucent; bracts ovate, shorter than pedicel and ovary (2 mm long); sepals and petals elliptic, obtuse, 2,5-4x1,5-2 mm; lip lanceolate, 3-lobed at base, mid-lobe narrow, 3x2,5-3 mm (wide at base), lateral lobes minute; spur 2 mm long, clavate.
Ecology : Forest; mixed semi-deciduous forest; 570-1050 m alt.
  Differs from the other Eggelingia species by its small size, very narrow leaves and short spur.
