Biology : Annual herb, (4-)10-45 cm, with many spreading branches 50 cm high with main branches to 15 mm , not laterally compressed;
Ecology : Usually in sandy or clayey flats, shores or seasonal watercourses liable to periodic flooding, on bare soil by ditches, etc.; 0-1050 m alt. Namibia; Mauritius, Mascarene Isl., India, Sri Lanka.
