Biology : Shrub or shrubby treelet, to 3(-4,5) m.
Ecology : Rain-forest; riversides; gallery forest in southern savanna region; usually in deep shade of high forest; soil sandy to rocky, and steep rocky slopes; 1-1050 m alt. Fernando Poo (Bioko). Cultivated in Wageningen (Netherlands).
