Biology : Prostrate, ascending or erect shrub, much-branched, usually 30- a rather slender taproot; stems 30-60 cm tall.
Ecology : Large stands on sunny rocky hills or along cracks and crevices in rocks; 500-1900 m alt. Rather variable species. ? Resurrection (poikilohydric) plant. ? H. F. Glen & al. in Fl. Pl. Africa 56: 62-68, 1999.
