Biology : Slender (shrub or) tree to 10 m, with slender trunk; roots tough, fibrous.
Ecology : Rocky places in semi-desert scrub, often on limestone; 200-780 m alt. (Somalia); steep rocky sides of wadis; 0-1000 m (fide Verdcourt, Kew Bull. 40: 1-23, 1985). Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Arabia,? Pakistan.
