Biology : Epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs 1-2 cm apart, 1-leafed, ovoid, 3-4-angled, 2-3x1-2 cm; leaf oblanceolate, 12-25x2,5-3,5 cm; inflorescence erect, 20-45 cm long, flowers borne in upper 1/3 or 1/5; bracts lanceolate, c. 10 mm long; flowers yellowish green, with reddish flecks; sepals lanceolate, 12-13 mm long, margins finely ciliolate; petals linear, 3-3,5 mm long, glabrous; lip linear, margins with long reddish-brown hairs.
Ecology : Rain-forest, near river, in shade, growing with “B. calamarium” (= B. saltatorium var. calamarium); low and mid alt.
  Near B. saltatorium var. calamarium, and the type specimen (Perez-Vera 187) of B. danii cited by Szlachetko in Ruizia 20: 161, 2008, under the former species, without referring to B. danii.
