Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Dioecious shrub 1-3 m tall, almost glabrous, very rarely with stiff, short, sparse hairs; stems reddish; branchlets spine-tipped, twisted; leaf petiole 0,5-1,2 cm long.

Ecology : Galb and kedia (gully, rocky valley), sometimes common; cultivated clayey-sandy grara; hilly ground in dry savanna; to 1500 m alt.
