Biology : Tree 25-35 m; bole straight, cylindrical, > 3 m in girth, slightly buttressed at base; wood reddish-white (similar to mahogany but paler); bark brown to grey, fissured or vertically scaly (sometimes smooth and scarred (eaten by elephants).
