Biology : Evergreen tree 7-18(-30) m, with a stut trunk branching low; more often with many stems to 8 m tall; crown heavy rounded, with somewhat drooping branchlets;
Ecology : Hot dry bushveld on deep alluvial soils near rivers and termite mounds, in valleys on river banks; up to 1500 m alt.
  S. Africa, Botswana.
