Biology : Tall tree c. 40 m; bole straight, cylindrical, to c. 3 m Ø d b h; branches with grey-brown bark; branchlets short appressed-hairy to glabrescent; leaflets 5; large to 13 cm long; flowers white, in lax pseudoracemes;
Ecology : Primary lowland rain-forest, c. 30 m alt.
  Cultivated in greenhouse at Wageningen (Netherlands).
  Inflorescences resembling those of Oubanguia africana Baill. ( Scytopetalaceae ), common in the same area.
