Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Shrub 1-6 m tall, with both normal white hairs and swollen-based hairs on young stems, leaf-rhachides and inflorescences; twigs often white.
Ecology : Combretum-Balanites aegyptiaca woodland; Acacia bushland; especially on with Acacia, Themeda; Brachystegia, Acacia or Colophospermum woodland and savanna; especially on well drained hill slopes; 20-2100 m alt.
  Botswana, S. Africa, Swaziland.
