Trop. Afr.
Biology : Annual or short-lived perennial evergreen shrub to 3 m tall, with erect ribbed, densely pubescent stems; leaflets silvery beneath. Very variable.
Ecology : Not known in the wild state; cultivated throughout the tropics.
  Probably of African origin; or Indian. Can be confused with Dolichos pseudocajanus. Also resembling a Crotalaria species.

Biol./Eco : Shrub; Subhumid, Dry; Grassland, Anthropic; 0-499 m, 500-999 m, 1000-1499 m; distribution: Naturalised in Madagascar.
