Biology : Perennial herb or much-branched diffuse subshrub with a thick woody rootstock; with numerous decumbent or ascending woody branches to c. 40 cm tall, grey-pubescent when young;
Ecology : Grassland on Kalahari sand or on loose sand, in dry country; 900-1485 m alt. in S. Africa.
  Very variable. Leaves sometimes resembling those of R. obcordata (obovate), sometimes those of R. pseudosphaerosperma (oblong or with very dense indumentum).
  Caprivi Strip, Namibia, Botswana, N S. Africa.
