Biology : Perennial plant with prostrate ± flexuous pubescent to tomentose (mixture of short crisped and long fine spreading hairs) stems 15-50 cm long, from a strong taproot or branched rootstock;
Ecology : Montane grassland, often on rocky hillsides or by streams; 1650-2300 m alt.
