Biology : Tree 6-45 m; bole clear to 12 m height, 2,7 m in girth, >1 m Ø; branches flat, spreading; crown rounded; bark rough, flaking; butttresses small or none. Leaves and bark toxic.
Ecology : Rain-forest; deciduous or half-deciduous forest; sometimes very abundant; clearings in rain-forest; 525-1220 m alt.
