Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Erect perennial plant, 0,3-0,8(-1,3) m tall, from a stout woody rootstock 10-20 x 2 cm; stems several, cylindrical, not or sparsely branched near the apex, ± appressed-tomentose to pubescent with yellowish hairs. Seeds known!
Ecology : Brachystegia woodland; savanna; miombo- or Uapaca-woodland; Hyparrhenia open woodland; granite and limestone outcrops; dambo margins, near rivers and waterfalls; 450-2100 m alt.
