Ecology : Climber in dark forest; forest edges and thickets in moist grassland, often on old termite-mounds, also in riverine thicket, Brachystegia and Combretum woodlands; evergreen rainforest; 900-1800(-2400?) m alt. S. Africa (Natal, Transvaal), Madagascar.
