Biology : Shrub or tree 1-8 m tall, scrambling, much branched, with slender twigs; flowers large, yellow, decorative.
Ecology : Near dry lowland and riverine forests; wooded grassland; deciduous bushland; coastal bushland; thickets in poor soils on sandy hills; 0-1520 (?-2130) m alt.
  Variable species.
  S. Africa; Asia.
  Also grown for ornament; also good as a hegde plant.
