Biology : Evergreen tree 6-23 m; bole 1,5-3 m long, 10-30 cm Ø, irregular; crown rounded.
Ecology : Wooded savanna; woodland on Kalahari sands; often associated with Baikiaea, Cryptosepalum, Burkea, Erythrophleum; 950-1450 m alt.
  Caprivi Strip, Botswana, ? S. Africa (Transvaal).
  Not in Gabon and Cameroon.
