Trop. Afr.
Biology : Lax erect shrub 0,6-4,5 m tall; branchlets covered with thick brownish-red powdery bark; young stems densely covered with sticky tubercular-based hairs. Aromatic.
Ecology : Grassland; also with scattered Protea, Brachystegia, Erythrina, etc.; Brachystegia-Combretum woodland; abandoned cultivations; 1170-2250 m alt.
