Biology : Shrub 1,5-4,5 m tall; bark rough, greyish-brown, appearing jointed at the nodes due to the scars formed by the deciduous stipules; young shoots densely covered with glandular tubercular-based hairs.
Ecology : Rocky slopes and ridges in Brachystegia-Protea woodland; on margins of evergreen forest; 1200-2150 m alt.
