Trop. Afr.
Biology : Trailing perennial herb with numerous radiating flexuous stems to 1 m long; young parts hairy; stipules long; racemes terminal and leaf-opposed, short, subumbelliform, few-flowered; flowers fairly small; calyx as long as corolla;
Ecology : Brachystegia plateau woodland and wooded grassland; also roadsides; c. 800-1700 m alt. - Bushy pastures, flooded in the rainy season; 2000 m (Angola). - Grassy savanna with Protea; roadsides (Zaire).
  Variable in shape of leaflets, in distribution and density of indumentum.
