Biology : Perennial herb, that grows in little tufts, densely branched from the base, branches angular-furrowed with brown bark, 30-150 cm tall; sweet-scented; rather woody herb from a taproot;
Ecology : Grassland; 1400-2600 m alt.
  Most attractive: corolla splendid, deep crimson, densely covered outside with mainly golden-brown appressed hairs; pods dark, black strigulose; would look lovely in the garden.
