Biology : Annal or perennial usually grey-green herb with few-branched stems radiating from a central rootstock, ascending towards the tips, usually somewhat flattened, thinly white-strigose, glabrescent. - Different from all other Indigofera in Africa.
Ecology : Weed of cultivation; shores of receding lakes and rivers; sandy soils; clayey soils; seasonally flooded places; 0-1200 m alt.
  Native in Africa? Madagascar; tropical America (? native), Mexico.
  NO specimen collected in East Africa before 1926.
