Biology : Erect branching, semi-woody herb to 90-180 cm tall from a taproot; stems strigulose or pubescent.
Ecology : Grassland; seasonal swamps; old cultivations; sandy ground on rice-field edge; wooded savanna with Isoberlinia doka sandy thickets; among high grasses near source; 0-1700 m alt.
