Biology : Perennial herb with prostrate, subreddish, slightly angular branches; with scattered white hairs and red glandular hairs; ripe seeds unknown.
Ecology : Summit ridge; 2100-2520 m alt.
  Closely related to I. itremoensis Du Puy & Labat (Sect. Psiloceratiae from Madagascar fide Gillett, but according to DU Puy & al. (Legum. Madag.: 497, 2002) the latter species is near I. ankaratrensis R. Vig. and I. thymoides Bak. [see more in the book]
